to the website for the Central Murray Regional Waste Management Group (CMRWMG).
The CMRWMG is one of 12 Regional Waste Management Groups across Victoria which where established in 1999. Our key roles including supporting our 5 member Councils to plan and manage for waste and recycling for all residents, to educate the community about the 3 R's - reduce, reuse and recycling and reduce the impacts of litter across the region.

The CMRWMG works with a variety of organisations ranging from local government to schools, small and large businesses, hospitals, community groups, venue managers and any other group that requires support to implement waste minisation activities.
Assisting Local Councils to upgrade and improve recycling program is a key function for the Group. The photos below highlight just some of the major recycling infrastructure programs that have been rolled out across the region.
 Sea Lake Transfer Station opened in 2007
 E-waste recycling at the Swan Hill Reuse Centre
VISY and Swan Hill Rural City Council opened a new Materials Recovery Facilitiy in 2003.
